Play on the water, try out paddleboarding, and learn basic skills and knowledge to safely get out on the water and have fun.
Participants are required to be able to swim and to be comfortable on and in the water. These programs involve periods of kneeling and getting up and down from kneeling position. If you are unsure about your ability to participate or are pregnant, please talk with Zoë before registering.
Basic SUP Skills
This course includes on land and on water components. It is intended for novice paddlers to learn paddling skills in calm conditions. Topics and skills covered include SUPs and associated gear, launching, landing, falling, remounting, safety awareness, forward and turning strokes, and basic body positions. (3 hours, $45+tax)
