PeopleSavers

Ideal for youth groups and elementary schools, PeopleSavers is a four-level program developed by the Canadian Red Cross with an emphasis on prevention that teaches safety awareness and first aid skills to children. Each participant receives a colouring workbook that supports the lessons taught in the session. Participants follow the PeopleSavers character for each level through a variety of everyday situations that are potentially dangerous, and they learn to check for safety to prevent an emergency as well as during an emergency, to call for help, and to care for an injured person. Each level reviews the skills taught in the previous levels and introduces new skills. It is not necessary to have participated in previous first aid programs.
